SF City Impact Adopt-A-Building

  • City Impact 144 Taylor Street San Francisco, CA, 94102 United States (map)

YES! is gathering a team to serve with City Impact in the Tenderloin District of San Francisco for the second Sunday afternoon in July 2023.

From City Impact’s website:

There are hundreds of Residential Hotels in the city of San Francisco, which are home to over 30,000 residents. Residents are often paying the majority of their monthly income towards rent which leaves a very small margin for food and other necessities.

With 16,000 people at the highest risk of food insecurity in District 6, our Adopt A Building program meets the basic needs of over 11,000 residents by providing meals and weekly visitations to 20 buildings every month.

Please join YES! Young Enough to Serve and City Impact as we together experience this Sunday afternoon ‘visitation’: interacting, serving and praying with residents.

Please plan on arriving at City Impact, 144 Taylor Street, by 2 PM (allowing time for traffic and parking).

Let us know right away of your intent to join us by completing the form below. We’ll close registration after Tuesday, July 4 to allow time to coordinate transportation and communicate with the adults who are going.

(Volunteers for this ministry need to be 18 years or older. While the youngest among us won’t be with us, we still hope for a good mix of older and younger adults.)

Fill out our online form.
