Over Fifty-Five
Over Fifty-Five
So you've climbed over the fifty-five mark. For some of you it's hard to even remember back that far. For others it's a more recent milestone.
Some of you face the future with great excitement, and some dread what's ahead. For most of us, it's realistically a mixture of eager anticipation and reluctant fear.
Your physical strength and energy may be in decline. But hopefully you know it's not all downhill from here!
Your life experience is growing, and hopefully you're growing wiser with your years. We believe your potential is on a growth curve in lots of areas of life---including your capacity to serve.
Growth in discretionary time, knowledge, relationships, perspective, spiritual passion---these can be some of the benefits of living well past fifty-five.
In Galatians 5 we're reminded that we're called to liberty. At the same time, we're admonished to not become selfish with our freedom but through love to serve one another.
We all have different gifts, and it's important that we use our gifts for God's glory---and finish well! We hope that the Holy Spirit will nudge you forward as you move in obedience to His desires for the rest of your life. And we'd love to hear about your serving adventures!
